Motorola Confirms India Launch of Motorola Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra Foldable Smartphones
Motorola recently introduced two new foldable smartphones with a clamshell-style design to the global market. Exciting news for Indian consumers is that the company has now officially announced the upcoming availability of the Motorola Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra in India. Unlike previous Motorola smartphones that are typically sold via Flipkart, these new models will be accessible through Amazon and other renowned retail outlets.
While an exact launch date for the Razr 40 series has not been disclosed yet, the official teaser suggests that these devices will hit the market within the next few weeks.
Although sharing a similar name, the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra are distinct devices in terms of their specifications. The Razr 40 Ultra is a cutting-edge foldable phone with a spacious 3.6-inch cover display. It features a primary 6.9-inch screen with an impressive 165Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, accompanied by up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage.
On the other hand, the Razr 40 sports a smaller 1.5-inch cover display and a 6.9-inch primary display with a peak refresh rate of 144Hz. This variant operates on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, combined with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
Both phones run on the stock Android 13 operating system and are equipped with a 32 MP selfie camera on the inside. The Razr 40 Ultra boasts a dual-camera setup featuring a 12 MP wide-angle lens and a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Meanwhile, the Razr 40 offers a 64 MP primary camera and a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
In terms of battery capacity, the Razr 40 comes with a slightly larger 4,200 mAh battery, while the Razr 40 Ultra houses a 3,800 mAh battery. Both devices support up to 30W wired fast charging and 5W wireless charging. The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra carries a price tag of $999, which roughly converts to Rs 82,508.
