Exciting News: Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam, and Nimrat Kaur’s “Dasvi” Set to Receive a Sequel; All the Details Revealed!

As the trend of sequels continues to dominate Bollywood, with announcements like Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,” Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal’s “Hera Pheri 3,” and Hrithik Roshan’s “Krrish 4,” Pinkvilla has exclusive information about another sequel in the works. Director Tushar Jalota and producer Dinesh Vijan have joined forces once again to bring us the follow-up story to “Dasvi,” tentatively titled “Barwi.” The first installment, starring Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam, and Nimrat Kaur, was unveiled last year.

According to a close source, the makers strongly believe that “Dasvi” deserves a sequel and are eager to take the story forward. Tushar has already started working on the script and has come up with an intriguing concept for the second part, which has also impressed Dinesh. If everything goes according to plan, the film is expected to begin shooting later this year.

Recalling his experience during “Dasvi Part 1,” Abhishek Bachchan shared in an earlier interview with Pinkvilla that he paid homage to his father, Amitabh Bachchan, in one of the scenes. In a gesture of respect, Abhishek imitated Senior Bachchan’s iconic character, Badshah Khan, from the popular film “Khuda Gawah.” He stated, “In my work, I have my own way of paying homage to some of my favorite things. And I do it in my own way. It is just a kick for me. And I did something in the film, and after we shot it, I remember Tushar came and I said, ‘This is my ode to my father.'”

Apart from the “Dasvi” sequel, fans can look forward to seeing Abhishek Bachchan in R. Balki’s “Ghoomer” and Remo D’Souza’s “Dancing Dad” in the near future.

While seeking confirmation from the makers about the “Barwi” sequel, our attempts to reach them have unfortunately been unanswered.
